In a confusing statement, New York Jets wide receiver whines and complains about the New England Patriots running up the score on Monday Night Football.
“They embarrassed us on purpose,” Edwards said. “We can’t let that happen again. I don’t want to say that they ran it up, but at the end of the day, they ran it up. If you look at what happened, yeah, they ran it up. But that’s football. It’s rivalry. It’s two guys (Rex Ryan and Bill Belichick) that probably don’t like each other through the rivalry. We probably would have done the same thing.”
Do you want some cheese with that whine? Don’t forget your french cries. Alright, I’m done. Seriously though, this is a pretty pathetic statement coming from the Jets receiver. Considering Edwards was one of the main reasons for the Jets loss because of his multiple key drops, he really can’t say complain. If you’re a big reason why your team lost in a blowout fashion, then just keep your mouth shut.
If you talk smack all season long and ‘do the Dougie’ in your opponents face then you should expect the same to you. The Patriots didn’t need to say anything, they just went out and played and blew your team out. Was it on purpose? It doesn’t matter. You were embarrassed on National television. Instead of complaining about it, try to find a way to fix it.
