Fans Expecting to go to the Super Bowl are Sent Home

Sorry, but you can't go to the Super Bowl.

The NFL has delivered the following message which is a complete fail on the side of the National Football League.

“There are a limited number of sections in temporary seating areas inside the stadium that have not been fully completed,” the statement reads. “We are working to resolve the matter and expect that by game time most of the fans affected will have been accommodated in their seats or relocated to similar or better seats. Those fans that are affected by this will be directed to the Party Plaza area while the matter is resolved. Fans who are not accommodated with seats inside the stadium will each receive a refund of triple the cost of the face value of their ticket. We regret the situation.”

So to recap, the NFL apologizes that you can’t watch a once in a lifetime event because they couldn’t complete the seating areas. I hope one of those guys from the VISA commercial ‘Never Miss a Super Bowl Club’ had tickets to those seats. Oh look at us, we’re so special, meanwhile an adopted baby goes unadopted.

Seriously though, 3x the face value isn’t enough of a compensation. I’d rather have free tickets to next years Super Bowl and if there’s a lockout, then just make it the year after that. Anyways, this is a horrible mistake by the NFL that should have been fixed before today. Just inexcusable.

UPDATE: Only 400 fans will not be accomodated. They will get $2,700 for each ticket. 850 fans got similar or better seats.
