The Old Man’s Picks – Playoff Predictions

This will be a very competitive season, especially in the NFC. Several of the NFC teams are so close in talent and potential that it’s really tough to make some calls. Take the NFC South for example. Tampa Bay, New Orleans, and Atlanta are actually very close in skill and talent to one another. The difference comes in the experience of winning. New Orleans and Atlanta know how to do so. Once Tampa figures out how to win, watch out.

In the NFC North it’s a similar story. The Packers are, in my mind, a step above all the others. However Chicago and Detroit both are very good teams and are capable of beating anyone.

The NFC East is also a very close grouping of teams. The Giants have won it all before, the Eagles are being called the “Dream Team,” and Dallas is healthy and more focused. It should be a fun year. If you haven’t done so, check out my AFC and NFC previews here on the Cover Two on why I think these teams will get to the playoffs.

That being said, here are my predictions for division winners, wild-card, and Super Bowl teams.
