Last Monday night the Denver crowd booed their starting quarterback and started chanting for their third string option, Tim Tebow. Now, those fans are taking it one step further.
The Denver Post is reporting that fans have purchased billboards in downtown Denver for $10,000. Seriously. Here’s why, according to them.
“We believe in Coach Fox. We’re just tired of Kyle Orton. We were sitting around after Fox said he didn’t hear the chants for (Tim) Tebow and we figured if he’s deaf, we hope he’s not blind.”
What? That was a total contradiction. If you believed in Coach Fox then you believe that he’s correct in saying Orton is the better starting quarterback than Tebow. If you don’t believe in Coach Fox then you would go out and buy billboards saying “Start Tim Tebow.”
By the way, Tebow isn’t even good enough to get clipboard holding duties. Brady Quinn is the direct backup to Orton, not Tebow. Where are the “We Want Quinn” chants? Either way, I highly doubt either backup gets a chance to play. Fox has made it clear that Orton will be the Denver Broncos starting quarterback. I also doubt that if he saw a billboard, he’d be willing to just completely change his thought process and decide to skip to his third option at quarterback.
Starting quarterback decisions are not made based on billboards.
