Bengals WR A.J. Green is Inactive

Green will not play on Sunday against the Ravens.

The Cincinnati Bengals have a tough matchup against the Baltimore Ravens today and they will have to play without one of their best playmakers this season in A.J. Green.

Green hyperextended his knee last Sunday while landing awkwardly while making a touchdown catch. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Green felt as if he could play today.

Bengals WR A.J. Green wants to play through his knee injury today, but Cincinnati is having its team doctors make final call.

The Bengals rookie was listed as doubtful heading into today so it was unlikely that doctors were going to give him the final go. Green is listed on the team’s inactive list which means he will have no chance to play.

Green has had an incredible rookie season for the Bengals so far as he leads all rookies in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. On the year, he has 41 catches for 635 yards and six touchdowns.

Stepping up at wide receiver will be Jerome Simpson, Andre Caldwell, and even tight end Jermaine Gresham.
