Kevin Smith Has Huge Comeback Game With 201 Yards, 3 TDs

Former Detroit Lions running back, and current Detroit Lions running back, Kevin Smith had a huge game today against the Carolina Panthers.

Smith had a career day in his comeback with the Lions.

Smith had 16 carries for 140 yards and two rushing scores. He also gathered 61 yards through the air, including a 28-yard receiving touchdown off of a screen pass. Smith played a huge part in the Lions 49-35 victory over the Panthers.

With Jahvid Best out with a concussion, the Lions have gone through multiple running backs. Maurice Morris was expected to be the starter today, but Smith just took over. Keiland Williams saw some playing time but fumbled the football.

Smith was expected to be the running back of the future for the Lions a couple of years ago but multiple shoulder and knee surgeries ended up with him being released by the Lions. The Lions re-signed him last week and it paid off for them in a big way today.

This was easily a career day for Smith as he tries and gets his career jump-started again.
