Report: Rex Ryan Could Face $100,000 Fine on Monday

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan is known for his profanity, as showcased in the HBO series Hard Knocks, but the NFL doesn’t appreciate it when that language is directed at fans.

Ryan is not always nice to fans.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Ryan could be coughing up a lot of money soon.

NFL is expected to fine Rex Ryan between $75,000 and $100,000 for using profane language to fans at halftime of last Sunday night’s game.

There is video evidence of Ryan using the profane language towards the fan (view that video here). A fan yelled at Ryan, “Hey, Rex! Belichick is better than you!” In response, Ryan said, “Shut the f**k up.”

It’s not the first time that Ryan has been fined for doing something obscene towards a fan. He was fined $50,000 flipping the bird to a random fan at a non-NFL event in January 2010.
