Tim Tebow finished 9-20 for 104 yards with no passing touchdowns, oh…did I mention he won the game?
After being down the entire game, the Denver Broncos got the ball back on offense on their own five yard line with 5:54 remaining in the game. Activate Tim Tebow mode.
Following a dangerous 8-yard pass to Eddie Royal Tebow had a 15-yard run to give the Broncos a first down. Do I really need to explain the rest? Tebow ran for 57 yards on the Broncos final drive including a 20-yard run that ended up giving Denver the win.
The win doesn’t all fall on Tebow, however. The Broncos defense played a terrific game. Rookie linebacker Von Miller finished with 10 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble on the game. He was a force to be reckoned with all night long and played a huge part in the win.
Also, cornerback Andre Goodman had a pick six that tied the game at 10-10 in the third quarter.
But when it all comes down to it, all people wil remember from this game is that Tim Tebow led the Broncos 95 yards and scored the game winning touchdown. As the folks at NFL Network like to say, Tebow has “it.” You can’t explain”it” but you just know that he has “it.”
Tebow is now 4-1 after gaining the starting job when the team was 1-4. That makes the Broncos 5-5 and in good position to possibly win the division and make the playoffs. There’s still games to be played but considering their 1-4 start, it’s amazing that the Broncos even have a chance at the playoffs.
The Broncos will play the San Diego Chargers next week in a huge division matchup. They’ll be on a three game winning streak heading into the game.
