Report: Sam Hurd provided drugs to NFL players

It was reported earlier today that Chicago Bears receiver Sam Hurd was arrested on federal drug charges and now more reports are coming out about the details that involve the arrest.

According to a source of 670 The Score in Chicago, the Bears receiver was supplying drugs to NFL players numbering in the “double digits.” According to the source, police have a list of NFL players who supplied drugs by Hurd.

This is a serious mess that Hurd is involved in. He told an undercover agent that he was looking to buy 5 to 10 kilograms of cocaine and 1,000 pounds of marijuana per week. He also negotiated $25,000 per kilogram for the cocaine and $450 per pound of the marijuana.

That means he was bringing in enough money to spend $575,000-$700,000 worth of drugs per week. That’s over $2 million a month. Considering he signed a three-year, $3.97 million contract earlier this year, football was his side job. CBS Chicago labeled Hurd a top drug dealer in Chicago.

Sam Hurd, who was once a pretty much unknown NFL players has become widely popular with the news of his drug bust today. He’s been trending on Twitter all day and people have been talking about this unbelievable arrest.
