Randy Moss says he is coming out of retirement, wants to play in 2012

After nobody signed free agent wide receiver Randy Moss during the off-season last year, the veteran playmaker decided to announce his retirement, but on Monday he ended his retirement and said that he is ready to play again in 2012.

“I just wanna go to a team and play some football,” Moss said on a video posted at the website Ustream.tv.

The big announcement came on Moss’ 35th birthday.

“Faith, family and football, that’s my M.O., bro,” Moss said in the video. “Your boy be back for the upcoming season.”

Moss skipped out the 2011 season after a rough 2010 season where he played for three different teams (Patriots, Vikings and Titans). Moss’ 2010 season produced a career low in both receptions (28) and yards (393).

The 35-year-old receiver has 954 career receptions (ninth all-time) for 14,858 yards (fifth all-time) and 153 touchdowns (tied for second all-time).

Adding Moss into the mix makes this an even more exciting off-season. With big name free agents at receiver already (such as Welker, Wayne, Colston, Vincent Jackson, etc), it should be exciting to see who lands where.
