Wide receiver Brandon Stokley played four seasons (03-06) with the Colts and quarterback Peyton Manning, so he knows a little bit about what Manning can throw like.
According to a report from Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Manning caught up with Stokley recently to throw some balls. According to the report, Manning threw 50 passes to Stokley in a park in Colorado. Stokley had some words to say about his former quarterback.
“I saw him for three days at Duke and he was the only quarterback (throwing to four or five receivers) and he threw a ton of balls for three straight practices and the guy looked to me like he did when I was there six years ago.”
“People who say the Broncos are crazy for not watching his balls fly, or what are they doing? those people are dead wrong,” Stokley said. “I’ll put whatever reputation I have on the line behind that guy right now. He looks great.”
Manning spent Friday visiting the Broncos and according to recent reports, they are the favorite team to land the coveted quarterback. Manning has also met with the Arizona Cardinals and is scheduled to meet with the Dolphins and Titans as well.
