The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they signed free agent receiver Vincent Jackson
NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora the deal is worth just under $56 million, with $26 million guaranteed.
Recent reports have linked the two sides together and now it is official. The Bucs have about $43 million in salary-cap space this off-season and they said that they wanted to make a splash. They did just that by signing the best free agent wide receiver.
Jackson to Tampa is a great fit for both sides. The Buccaneers needed a true number one receiver and they get that in Jackson. He will join Mike Williams and Arrelious Benn as the starting receivers. Jackson is a two-time Pro Bowl receiver.
The Chicago Bears were also rumored to be interested in Jackson, but those talks died down once they traded for Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall.
