The Denver Broncos find themselves dealing with an unfortunate situation on Sunday morning as they’re dealing with the arrest of their defensive end, Elvis Dumervil.
Dumervil was arrested Saturday night in Miami. The police reports states that Dumervil is accused of aggravated assault with a firearm. His bond was set at $7,500. The team has released a statement on the matter.
“Our organization is aware of the matter and is continuing to gather the facts. This is a very serious allegation, and we will thoroughly review the details while the legal process runs its course.”
The statement is accurate as this is a very serious allegation. We’ll have to wait for more details, however, as there are very few at the moment.
Dumervil missed the 2010 season due to an injury, but had 9.5 sacks in 2011.
