Indianapolis Star writer Mike Chappell reported that the Indianapolis Colts have signed quarterback Andrew Luck.
His contract is over the span of four years, with a fifth-year team option. Money details are unknown at this moment. Last year’s first overall pick, Cam Newton, signed for $22.025 million over four years.
Luck was the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and his contract has been in the works for awhile now. Colts owner Jim Irsay kept saying on Twitter that they were close to finishing a deal with their new starting quarterback and now they are.
The Washington Redskins signed the second overall pick, Robert Griffin III yesterday. Griffin’s deal was a four-year deal worth $21.1 million.
