The Dallas Cowboys may have won their first preseason game against the Raiders, but they lost their starting tight end for some weeks.
Jason Witten injured his spleen after a hit by Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain. The hit reportedly caused internal bleeding and reports are saying that he’ll at least miss the rest of the preseason. The Cowboys first game of the season takes place on a Wednesday, so it’s going to push the pace of the recovery time.
Witten caught 79 passes for 942 yards last season with five touchdowns.
