David DeCastro out for season with torn ACL

Players never want to begin their season on injured reserve, but that’s what is going to happen to Pittsburgh Steelers rookie guard David DeCastro.

DeCastro is out for the season after he tore his ACL and MCL in a preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. The Steelers selected DeCastro in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft.

Pittsburgh has had bad luck with offensive lineman in recent years. That’s one of the main reasons why they drafted DeCastro in the first round this year. Losing him is going to be a big blow for this Steelers team.
