Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew has been in the news recently because of his holdout, but things are looking better for Jaguars fans.
After saying he was open a trade earlier this week, MJD told NFL.com’s Marcas Grant, “I think things are going to work out … everything’s going to be good.” Whether or not that holds true, we’ll have to wait and see.
The Jones-Drew open to trade talk didn’t last very long. After he had a day to sleep on it, he quickly changed his tune and said that he was willing to stay in Jacksonville (like they were really going to trade him away anyways). Now we have updates where Mojo says things are going to work out.
What needs to happen is a one-on-one in-person talk between Shad Khan, the Jaguars owner, and Jones-Drew. They can say what they need to say and come to a resolution.
Jones-Drew led the NFL in rushing yards last season with 1,606.
