The Pittsburgh Steelers and fantasy football fans are hoping that wide receiver Mike Wallace will report so that they can have him play this season.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Steelers should be pleased. Even though Wallace has refused to sign his tender offer from the Steelers, sources tell Schefter that the receiver will report to the team before week one. Wallace has refused to sign the tender in hopes of getting a long term deal.
Wallace’s feelings about the situation probably didn’t get any better when the team decided to give his teammate, receiver Antonio Brown, a long term deal instead.
The Pro-Bowl receiver has not reported to any of the Steelers’ offseason workouts or minicamp. Wallace had 1,193 receiving yards last season.
