Patriots work out TE Kellen Winslow

The New England Patriots are open to the idea of expanding their tight end brigade.

There are reports that New England have worked out tight end Kellen Winslow. Winslow was traded from the Bucs to the Seahawks this off-season, but he did not make the Seahawks roster.

The team, which already has two of the top tight ends in the NFL in Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, have been stockpiling tight ends this off-season.

They’ve signed former Vikings tight end Visanthe Shiancoe and former Giants tight end Jake Ballard (who is currently on the PUP list).
