Guardiola gives ‘ear pulling’ to Haaland and Grealish after City win

Coach warned that he expects more from both players.

Manchester City visited and defeated Leeds United, early Wednesday evening, 3-1, in a match for the 17th round of the Premier League, in which Erling Haaland scored two goals and Jack Grealish had a couple of assists.

Still, after the final whistle at Elland Road, Pep Guardiola, the English champions’ manager, warned both players that he wants to see much more, in the BBC Sport’s quick interview area.

“Grealish made two assists and allowed us to make that extra pass when we had to. With Riyad [Mahrez] and Jack, the pace was better, but he has to be more ambitious. He has to score more goals and be competitive, because he has quality,” he shot back.

“Haaland scored a lot of goals, but he could have scored more. He helped us a lot”, added the Catalan coach.
